About TRAK JOINT

Inspired by our experience as expert witnesses in concrete failure suits, we developed a cost-effective, safe, and fast method for stabilizing concrete with our TRAK JOINT system.

TRAK JOINT is:

Less expensive

Significantly less expensive in labor and materials than both saw-cut joints and zip joints.

Safer

Safer than saw-cuts with no installation noise or dust.

Faster

The TRAKER® installs contraction joints in slabs-on-ground. No need for a return crew to sawcut slabs.

About TRAK JOINT

Founders Harvey Haynes and his son, Benjamin Haynes, have decades of experience as concrete consultants. Their deep knowledge led to them being called as expert witnesses for homeowners and insurance companies when concrete cracks were found and structural integrity questioned.

Cracks in concrete are not a surprise and usually not a structural concern.  However, if they are random and not planned, they can often cause damage in the flooring material installed on top of them.

Harvey and Ben realized that the expense and safety concerns of saw-cut joints or zip strip joints were leading to concrete contractors doing fewer than they should.  This led to lawsuits, increased insurance costs, and wasted time and money for all concerned.

After a few years of trial and error, they came up with Trak Joints, a contraction joint system for residential concrete slabs. The first product model was completed in 2011, and a patent was granted for the design in 2014. Trak Joints was named the World of Concrete Most Innovative Product in 2018.

As practical engineers, they figured out a better, less expensive, safer, and easier solution.  The TRAK JOINT system!
